Who Can Apply?
Open to citizens of all countries except Israel and North Korea.
Main applicant must be minimum 30 years old & above.
Add on dependent:
• Legal spouse (no age limit)
• Principal’s parent (no age limit)
• Children (below 21 years old, unmarried)
Financial Requirement
FINANCIAL PROOF [ Mandatory (1) & Choose either (2), (3) or (4) ]
- Certified Copy of Fixed Deposit Statement (MANDATORY) from panel bank in Sarawak, amounting RM500,000.00 regardless of single, couple or family application.
- Certified Copy of Pension Letter and Latest 3 months government approved pension funds with minimum of RM10,000.00 (for individual) and RM15,000.00 (for couple/family).
- Copy of Employment Confirmation and latest 3 months payslip and bank statements as the proof of monthly offshore income, minimum amount of RM10,000.00 (for individual) RM15,000.00 (for couple/family)
- Proof of Savings Fund with the latest 3 months statements, amounting RM100,000 for individual and RM200,000 for couple/family.
Other Important Requirement
30 DAYS MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENT
All approved principal and spouse are required to stay at least 30 days every year in Sarawak as one of the condition for consideration of extension and renewal of S-MM2H program.
MEDICAL INSURANCE IN SARAWAK
Approved principal and all dependents must purchase medical insurance in Sarawak and show proof of purchase before obtaining the S-MM2H sticker.
INFECTIOUS DISEASES
Those who carry infectious diseases/viruses such as HIV, Hepatitis B and other infectious diseases that incurable are discourage to apply for SMM2H visa as approval would not be granted.
Terms And Conditions For Successful Applications
Successful applicants will be issued with 5+5 years of approved visitors pass with a Multiple Entry Visa (MEV) and extension MUST be done for the second half of the period (6 – 10 years).
Successful applicants:
- Are allowed to work part time or involved in investment and business during participation duration of this program subject to the following terms and conditions whereby it must be professionals/ investors and subject to the approval from the State Government of Sarawak.
- Are strictly forbidden from participating in activities which are sensitive to local people, politics, missionary and activities that are provocative, investigative in nature and sensitive that could threaten to the security of the country.
- Are allowed to withdraw a maximum of 50% fixed deposit on the 2nd year for designated purposes such as education fee, medical fee, property purchase and car purchase.
- Are allowed to purchase a residential house in Sarawak at a minimum price of RM600,000.00 per unit for Kuching and RM500,000.00 per unit for other divisions, subject to Land Code (Amendment)(No.2) Order 1998 & Land (Market Value of Property for Foreign Acquisition) Direction 1998.
